It’s now official.

Eddie Murphy’s classic 1988 movie Coming To America is getting a sequel. Yes, the prince of Zamunda is setting up to go back to the big screen.

According to The Tracking Board, Paramount hired the original writers, Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield for the brand new film.

There are no reports of the plot as of yet, but let’s just hope they go back to Queens and McDowell’s is still open. The rumors began to light up like wildfire after Eddie Murphy hinted something was in the works on Twitter earlier this year.

Back in 1988 the film grossed a total $288 million world wide.

Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley and John Amos were also co-stars in the movie.
