HOT 97’s Summer Jam 2007 was definitely one to remember!
Now that Swizz Beatz is making a return for the 25th anniversary this year on June 10th, it is only right that we revisit the time Swizz and Kanye went head to head as producers, with ‘Battle of the Beats’ on the Summer Jam stadium stage.
Swizz admitted that he hit up some of the best producers to take him up on the challenge, including Pharrell and Timbaland, but Kanye West was the only one who accepted!
While they both showed each other their lists of what they were going to play on that legendary night, Swizz says Kanye changed things up and surprised him with different tracks during the actual show.
Sounds like a Kanye West move, right?
All in all both of the artists have produced great hits from ‘’Takeover’ by Kanye West down to ‘Jigga My N****a” by Swizz Beats!
