Summer Jam 2013 had a star-studded lineup that included the likes of Wu-Tang Clan,
Kendrick Lamar, Asap Rocky, Miguel, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz and more.
Meek Mill even graced the stage with his hit records, but unfortunately for fans the show had to end early due to weather complications.
While many were upset with the thunderstorms, it didn’t take away from how LIT the show was prior to it’s ending. Take a look at the clip below:
Black Lives Matter March
In 2013 a Black Lives Matter march took place that united people from different parts of the world fighting for equality and the fair treatment of Blacks in America.
17 year-old Trayvon Martin was murdered by Geroge Zimmerman in his neighborhood while wearing a hoodie and carrying a pack of skittles on his way home.
The trial proceeded for a year, and when it came down to the last 16 hours of the jury’s deliberation, Zimmerman was found not guilty of second-degree murder and acquitted of manslaughter.
At that moment Black Lives Matter organizers could not sit silent.
The initial hashtag #BlackLivesMatter by founder Patrisse Cullors went a long way morphing into organized protests following Zimmermans release.

NYC’s 5 Pointz DESTROYED
New Yorkers and tourists who appreciate graffiti were all shocked with disappointment when the NYC 5 Pointz was literally white washed overnight.
The graffiti mural represented New York City and the beauty of the 5 boroughs.
Many referred to this incident as an ‘artistic murder.’ This was truly a sad day in NYC art history.
