We’re excited to have Trippie Redd bring his rap/rock/RnB sounds to the Summer Jam 2019 festival stage!
Born Michael White IV, Trippie was born in Canton Ohio and now resides in L.A.
He originally named himself Trippie Hippie but there was a group with that name already.
Trippie has Native American and Irish in him.
Trippie graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA. His first job was at a pizza shop but he only lasted two days.
His rock inspired style is influenced by The Real After Party, include System of a Down, Kiss, and Nirvana.
Trippie’s 14 tattoo on his face has two meanings, according to Pigeons and Planes. In a interview the rapper said,
“I grew up on a street called 14th Street,” he said. There’s also a religious connection. “I have a real spiritual family. My grandma that stay on that street is real spiritual, too…There’s a 1400 angel; there’s a 14 angel. All that s**t tie into some angelic s**t.”
