‘Wow.. That’s Crazy,’ Here’s A Few Things You Didn’t Know About Wale:

What we do know is Wale will be blazing our Hot For The Holidays stage, on December 12th, at Kings Theatre.

Born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, Wale is a Nigerian-American rapper, originally from Washington D.C. Wale first began to make a name for himself in 2006 when we released his song “Dig Dug (Shake It). 

It wasn’t until 2008 when Wale released his debut album, Attention Deficit. That project included hit singles such as “Chillin’,” and “Pretty Girls.” Here is where the world learned that Wale was bringing a unique sound and a different type of swag’ to the music industry. 

Wale got the attention of Rick Ross in 2011 and was signed to his label- Maybach Music Group. He released his 2nd studio album, Ambition, but it wasn’t until his 3rd album in 2013, The Gifted, where he landed at #1 on the  Billboard top 200 charts. His 4th album, The Album About Nothing, also reached number one.
