Every generation has a different story on how they fell in love with Hip Hop.
Papoose sits down with us this week and discusses the first album he ever “owned” being Big Daddy Kane’s 1988 Long Live The Kane.
The Brooklyn artist began making a big impact with his mixtapes in the mid-2000’s and tracks such as “Alphabetical Slaughter,” and his “Law Library” series.
With over 29 mixtapes under his belt, he decided to released 12 albums in the year of 2022 – one for every month. DJ Kay Slay was a big advocate of Papoose before his passing.
Today, he is also serving as the Head of Hip Hop at TuneCore. Celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop, “My First” details your favorite celebrities’ relationship with the biggest culture in the world. The conversation will revolve around questions such as the first time they fell in love with Hip Hop, first song they heard on the radio, one of their biggest experiences with the culture, and more!
