An Inmate On R. Kelly’s Floor Test Positive For COVID-19 + Singer Files New Motion

R. Kelly and his legal team are doing everything they can to get him out but it looks like not even the crisis can help him.

According to a report, an inmate at the prison R. Kelly is at, on the same floor, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The disgraced singer’s legal team requested for their client to be released early but was denied because the judge didn’t think he was a high risk to catch coronavirus. His team filed for a new motion, saying the conditions were getting worse and he’s at a higher risk of contracting the virus. 

Bossip reports that the singer has more than $220 k he made this year, so he could be considered a flight risk. However, he owes $1.88 million to the IRS and he denies that he’s a flight risk.
