50 Cent Celebrates Dropping “In Da Club” 18 Years Ago + Thanks Eminem For Putting Him On!

Can you believe it’s been 18-years since 50 Cent dropped “In Da Club.”

On this day (Jan. 7), back in 2003, Fif released his classic hit, “In Da Club.” He took to social media to reflect on his success. He rejoiced over the fact that the song still gets 1000’s of radio spins and it has over one billion YouTube views. He also thanked Eminem for putting him on. 50 said,

“You ain’t gonna believe this one but 18 years ago today I dropped a song I recorded in LA and it’s still spinning 1,000 times a week at radio currently sits at one billion YouTube views. I tell @eminem I love him for what he did for me, he put me on.” Take a look:

“In Da Club” was his breakout video and song. It was the first single off his iconic album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. The single and the album reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts. The video for “In Da Club” won best rap video at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards. Fif also won best new artist.
