50 Cent is giving Drake his flowers while he can still smell them.

Is Fif trying to work with the 6 god on a film or series?

In an Instagram post, on May 26, 50 shared a side-by-side picture from Drake’s IG story, which is a photo of him while he was on the show Degrassi. The left side of the photograph was of 50 Cent. In the caption, Fif said, “That boy @champagnepapi came wit it, he got off that show and made some real f*cking hits man.” Take a look:

The teen drama series Degrassi, which premiered on October 14, 2001, featured Drake, who starred as Jimmy Brooks for seven seasons. His character was a popular one, but then Jimmy ended up in a wheelchair after being shot during a horrible school shooting. Last year, reported on Billboard, “Drake initially saw the storyline as a hindrance to his then-budding rap career.” Show writer, James Hurst, said there was pushback from Drizzy’s camp. His team sent James a letter saying, “Aubrey Graham will not return to Degrassi season 6 as Jimmy Brooks unless his injury is healed, and he’s out of the wheelchair.”

James asked Drake to meet up in person. When they did, Drizzy explained why he wasn’t feeling being in the wheelchair. He said, “All my friends in the rap game say I’m soft because I’m in a wheelchair.’ And I said, ‘Well, tell your friends in the rap game that you got shot. How much harder can you get? You got shot, and you’re in a wheelchair.’” In 2006, Drake officially launched his rap career and got off the show in 2008.

It’s not clear why 50 decided to show love to the Toronto legend, possibly because he had on a 50 Cent shirt. In the caption of Drake’s pic, he said “Degrassi fits were serious.” Fif and Drake recently performed at Montreal’s Festival Metro Metro. Lil Baby and Drake’s set was on Saturday (May 21), and on Sunday, 50 Cent hit the stage.
