Big Sean gets personal on his new song!

He dropped the first single to his upcoming fifth studio album, Detroit 2, which is a follow up to his 2012 mixtape Detroit. The single is called “Deep Reverence,” featuring Nipsey Hussle. Big Sean talks about a difficult time he experienced with his love. He didn’t name drop, but fans are saying he’s talking about Jhene Aiko. In the lyrics, he raps,

“Should be a billionaire based on the time off I’m not taking

Prolly why this shit get crazy and we lost a baby.”

Their love for one another is no secret, even if they’re low key with their relationship. In 2016 they dropped an album together Twenty88. Prior to their joint collaboration, they worked on various songs together like “Beware” and “I’m Gonna Be.”

Detroit 2 is Big Sean’s first album since dropping his 2017 I Decided. It’ll be here on September 4! Big Sean also talks about coping with anxiety and battling suicidal thoughts on “Deep Reverence.” Take a listen:
