Birdman Shows Off Annual Earnings From Cash Money Masters

During a recent interview, Birdman sat down with Wallo of Where’s Wallo (co-host of Gillie Da Kid’s Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast) and discussed his career throughout the years.

It’s no secret that Birdman has built an empire with his Cash Money records, which birth Young Money Records. Both the labels house legendary artist such as Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Drake and Nicki Minaj and more. Wallo spoke with birdman about the success of his label, and master ownership. Explaining that he owned his masters ever since signing his first record deal.

“If it has a value,” explains the mogul. “That’s a value. If you don’t have a value, you sitting on some s*it that’s dead — but it’s still your s*it. But our sh*t had value. We license the music. I just started letting people sample my shit. There’s a gang of ways to make money off your masters. We generate twenty-thirty million dollars a year just on our masters.”
