Black Twitter Is Not Feeling The Weeknd & Aaliyah’s New Song ‘Poison’

The Weeknd did a posthumous collaboration with the beloved Aaliyah.

The song is called “Poison.” It’s baby girl’s first single for her upcoming posthumous album, Unstoppable. Take a listen and let us know your thoughts. On YouTube, the comment section was turned off.

 

The track is a slow/upbeat tune with melodic elements. However, online critics weren’t feeling the song at all. Some users felt the song was rushed, others questioned why Aaliyah’s vocals sounded the way it did. Take a look:

No official release date for Unstoppable. It’ll reportedly be a mixture of hip hop and R&B. Billboard points out it’s set to drop sometime in 2022.
