Damn.

Fans were hoping Bobby Shmurda would be released from prison but it looks like he’ll be there until 2021.

TMZ reports his parole hearing was denied. A reason wasn’t given publicly yet, but it’s possible it could have something to do when he racked up 11 violations for drug possession, having a shank, and fighting during his sentence. This means Bobby will have to stay behind bars until the end of December of 2021.

The “Hot N*gga” rapper was arrested in 2014 on numerous charges which include conspiracy to commit murder and weapons and drug charges associated with GS9. Back in 2016, Bobby Shmurda plead guilty to murder conspiracy charges and accepted a 7-year deal that included time served. In an interview that same year, Bobby explained why he took a longer sentence. His answer was due to loyalty.

“I did it for Rowdy. They offered me five and offered Rowdy 12. They said the only way they’ll give him seven is if I took seven too. So, you know, I had to take one for the dawgs.”

When Bobby is out, we can expect new music, a documentary, and he wants to mentor young kids so they don’t follow in his footsteps. So, let the countdown until Bobby is free begin!
