Cardi B. just made a major MONEY MOVE!

As reported on Variety, Cardi landed her first lead role in a comedy. The name of the film is Assisted Living.

The article reports the Paramount film is a “raucous comedy” with a “tremendous heart.” They compare it to other comedies like Tootsie, Sister Act, and Mrs. Doubtfire. It’s produced by Temple Hill and Stephen Love.

The storyline is about a girl named Amber, played by Cardi, who’s a small-time crook “who finds herself in over her head when a heist goes wrong. On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find anywhere to hide. Running out of options, Amber disguises herself as an elderly woman and hides out in the one place no one will look — her estranged grandmother’s nursing home.”

Cardi hasn’t reacted to the news as of yet, but social media is stoked! Take a look:

Even Paramount is excited, and gave “WAP” a new meaning!

This isn’t Cardi’s first time in a film. She made her big-screen debut back in 2019 in Hustlers, starring Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, Julia Stiles, Constance Wu, Lizzo, and more!

The article also notes, Paramount won rights to Assisted Living in 2019. The film is based on an original spec script by Kay Oyegun, a writer for This Is Us.

No details on when it will be out, but we’ll keep you posted!
