DeVon Franklin is offering newlyweds some advice amid his divorce from Meagan Good.

During a recent interview, Franklin advised newly married couples to, “resist the temptation to place blame, take responsibility.”

He continued, “sometimes in relationships it’s very easy to say ‘Oh, that person’s the problem, no, look in the mirror and say, ‘what’s my part in this and what can I do to make change in myself?’”

He adds, “I have a lot to offer. And that I am passionate about love, I am passionate about relationships, and I do want to see people find their person. Everything I’ve been through; I’ve found that all of that helps not only myself but others.”

Frankin and Meagan Good announced that they were divorcing after nine years of marriage. They both shared a statement via social media which read “after much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected. We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.”

The statement ended, “we are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.”

It looks like the split has been amicable thus far.
