Dr. Dre opens up about his health scare he had back in January.

On Jan. 4, the 56-year-old mogul was rushed to the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. TMZ reported on Jan. 15 that he was released from the hospital but would continue to receive around-the-clock care. “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

During a recent interview Dre opened up about the aneurism. He says it was unexpected, and hadn’t had an health concerns prior. “It’s a really weird thing. I’ve never had high blood pressure,” Dre told the Los Angeles Times. “And I’ve always been a person that has always taken care of my health. But there’s something that happens for some reason with Black men and high blood pressure, and I never saw that coming.”

He suggest all Black men to get annual check ups. “And I think every Black man should just check that out and make sure things are OK with the blood pressure,” he said. “And I’m going to move on and, hopefully, live a long and healthy life. I’m feeling fantastic.”
