The hip hop world continues to morn the passing of DMX hours after the family released a statement after fighting for his life for just under a week.
Fans grew increasingly concerned about one of the tribute posts released yesterday, in hopes we don’t lose another one of the hip hop family in less than a week.
DJ Self released of Black Rob, as he laid in seemingly a hospital bed looking frail, and not well as he struggled to share his words to DMX and the family.
“The pain is crazy man.. it’s helping me out though,” hey can be heard saying in the clip. “It’s helping me out though. It’s making me realize I got a lot to go on man.”
When asked about how he felt about DMX he said, “I feel everything about X man. He was positive. Big love to X man.”
The video drew lots of concern from the hip hop community who expressed it online. There has been no official word on his condition at this moment.

Black Rob had worked with DMX on the classic 1997 track “24 Hrs To Live,” which also featured Mase and The LOX. The rapper is also known for his 2ooo hit “Whoa,” as well as features on tracks such as 2001’s “Let’s Get It,” and “Bad Boy For Life.”
