Fab dropped his debut album, Ghetto Fabolous on September 11, 2001. His witty, catchy, and fun bars caught the streets,’ and he would go on to release more classic mixtapes like The Soul Tape collection, The Young OG Project, Friday Night Freestyles, and the Summertime Shootout series. In Fab’s music, he blends rap and R&B in clever ways.

Fab’s pen game is underrated, but his longevity in the game proves he’s top tier. Fab was able to stand the test of time while hip hop is constantly evolving. Often, the O.G. rappers get pushed to the side and forgotten about when a new viral artist is getting shine. Fab has an understanding of that and embraces the new artists instead of getting intimidated by them. He’s worked with new artists like G Herbo, A Boogie, Lil Uzi, and more.

Fab also has the “true New York City” mentality, he once said, “There’s no New York rapper who’s out that is competing with me because first of all, I’m the best.” If the streets are a jungle, Fab is like a chameleon, constantly adapting to his habitat. While some artists ride other waves, Fab shows ’em how to surf.

The young O.G. contributes more than just dope lyrics for I.G. captions to the culture. He’s also stylish and a sneakerhead, a true Brooklynite. He also maintains a funny/cool guy persona on the Internet and posted funny hashtags on Twitter over the years.

Fab is a true veteran in the game, and we wish you many more birthdays!
