Will Drake and Kanye West’s friendship ever be the same?

A few months ago Drake did a rare sit-down interview with Elliot Wilson and Drizzy was asked about his friendship status with Kanye. From his answer, Drake doesn’t seem like he’s in any rush to rekindle the bromance, he said:

“I think he kind of recruited a guy with a similar dislike for me, no matter what he says in interviews,” he said. “He can tell whoever, ‘I got love for him’ or whatever, but it’s not love. It’s…there’s something there that bothers him deeply. Yeah, I can’t fix it for him, so, it just is what it is.”

It looks like Kanye responded in an unreleased leaked song according to Genius. The track is called “Waiting For God,” and it was supposed to be on Kanye’s Jesus Is King album but didn’t make it.

In one of the lyrics of the song, Kanye says:

“Biggest house in Hidden Hills

He funny though

He gon’ move the No. 1 rapper four blocks down the street from me

You funny God”

You remember in Drake’s verse in “Sicko Mode” with Travis Scott, Drake said,

“I still got scores to settle, man

I crept down the block (Down the block)

Made a right (Yeah, right)

Cut the lights (Yeah, what?), paid the price (Yeah)

Niggas think it’s sweet (Nah, never), it’s on sight (Yeah, what?)”

Drizzy and Yeezy live close to each other so these lyrics have real meaning. Do you think the two will ever be “cool cool” again?
