Did Kanye West put the paws on a fan?
Reports say Ye is facing an alleged battery charge for allegedly punching a fan in the face in Los Angeles, NYDN points out the fan was seeking an autograph.
An LAPD spokesperson told the publication,“At three this morning Kanye West was leaving a local eatery, and there was some type of action that occurred between him and another person, the victim.” In addition, the punch “knocked the fan to ground.”
The spokesperson also said they believe the victim is a male. Supposedly by the time cops arrive, Ye allegedly dipped.
Another witness told KTTV, “around 3 a.m. Thursday [January 13] morning, the person approached the car that West was sitting in. Words were exchanged, West, the performer and fashion entrepreneur who changed his name to Ye, jumped out. Next thing the fan knew, he was down with a punch to the face.”
The situation is still being investigated. Ye could face a misdemeanor battery charge which could land him a six-month jail sentence.
