This past Saturday, Issa Rae had everyone laughing during her debut on Saturday Night Live, except for Kanye West.
During one of her skit’s, Rae reprised her infamous “Rooting for everyone Black” comment that went viral in 2017 at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards. Rae’s character stood behind her comment and praised everyone that was black until Kanye West’s name was mentioned. Rae was heard saying “Kanye West, F him.” Watch the entire clip below.
Kanye West was not feeling the joke and responded to it. The rapper tweeted out, “I’ve always said SNL uses black people to hold other black people back. My heart goes out to Issa Rae. I’m praying for her and her family. I know that the twenty years of service that I’ve paid in the entertainment field has furthered our ability to be more successful.”
