It seems as though Kentucky was prepared to deliver the unjust ruling of the case of Breonna Taylor.

Ahead of the decision, all week, Louisville was declared in a “state of emergency.” Interim LMPD Chief of Police Robert Schroeder wrote in a memo, “To ensure we have the appropriate level of staffing to provide for public safety services and our policing functions, effective immediately the LMPD will operate under the emergency staffing and reporting guidelines as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Plan and collective bargaining agreements until further notice.”

None of the officers were charged for murdering Breonna. Only one out of the three officers faced charges. Former Louisville Detective Brett Hankison was indicted for three counts of wanton endangerment. This charge is for putting the neighbors at risk when the multiple shots were fired, nothing to do with Breonna. He also has a bond set at $15,000 cash. Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and Detective Myles Cosgrove were not indicted by the grand jury.

Social media was heartbroken and frustrated by the news. Black lives matter advocate Tamika Mallory offered advice on what the next steps should be.

Celebrities like Kehlani, Rapsody, Common, Snoop Dogg, and more shared their thoughts on the ruling. Take a look:
