Vanessa Bryant is keeping her late husband and daughter’s name alive.

As reported on CNBC, Kobe Bryant’s widow is launching a Mambacita clothing line in honor of Kobe and Vanessa’s daughter, Gianna. She also died in a helicopter crash with her dad and seven others. Gigi’s nickname was Mambacita, originally off of her dad’s mantra “Mamba Mentality.”

Vanessa took to social media to promote the line. She said it’ll be released on May 1, which would have been Gianna’s 15th birthday. Take a look:

The clothing line news comes weeks after Kobe’s estate parted ways with Nike. The article reports 100% of the proceeds will go to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation; the nonprofit started in the memory of Kobe and Gigi to benefit underserved youth in sports.

Gigi tragically died with her dad and seven others on a helicopter crash back in January 2020. Before the tragedy, they were on their way to a basketball tournament. Kobe and Gigi had a special bond through their love for basketball. Gigi was posthumously honored at the 2020 WNBA draft.
