The Los Angeles police department is investigating Saweetie and Quavo’s 2020 elevator altercation.
As reported on TMZ, authorities want to meet both parties to discuss what happened. In the footage, you see the couple tussle over a video game console box.
The LAPD wants to determine if the situation was a domestic violence case and who was in the wrong. The full video isn’t released. In the clip, Saweetie took a swing at Quavo; he grabbed her by the arm, and dragged her into the elevator. She fell to the ground and remained there for some time until she limped her way out.
None of the rappers have been charged. The article points out the City Attorney will review the matter for possible changes. Quavo nor Saweetie has spoken out on the incident since.
