As reported on news sources, Florida rapper Money Mitch, 23, took his life after a shooting with the police.
Some reports say Mitch was found dead on July 27; others say July 23. As reported on Hot New Hip Hop, Mitch was riding in an uber in West Palm Beach and then got pulled over for a traffic violation. Mitch reportedly jumped out of the car and began shooting at the officers. The police returned fire.
The article notes Mitch wasn’t injured during his shootout with law enforcement. When the police were looking for Mitch, he was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Frank DeMario from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said, “We followed him to a building, and on the second floor, we noticed some blood droppings on the first floor. We thought he was wounded. We didn’t have any involvement in the shooting.”
Rappers like Lil Baby paid respect to Mitch. HNHH reports Mitch was about to get signed with Lil Baby. The “Emotionally Scarred” rapper reportedly said, “Bra, I’m sorry I couldn’t save you. Dam Mitch, you was on me every day.”
