Meagan Good is constantly having to defend herself against people online or in the church community.

The actress recently addressed a fan who had some things to say about the color tone of her skin. Megan posted a video of herself, fresh face, and someone online said,

“Megan looked better with dark skin…She not so pretty anymore she looks average…But her dark skin was above average…Why did she Bleach.” Megan calmly clapped back and explained that without her knowledge, an unlicensed aesthetician used a product on her skin that messed it up.

“ I didn’t Queen. A (unbeknownst to me) unlicensed aesthetician gave me a product to correct a sun damage mark on my forehead that messed up my skin.

Megan went on to say that she’s about 80% recovered and she’s regaining her color daily.

“By the grace of God only, I’m about 80% through recovery and regaining my color daily. To be honest it was a beyond painful and traumatic experience because I would never wish that on anybody. I’d really appreciate if you wouldn’t continue to spread assumptions and rumors. God Bless You.”

The Think Like A Man Too actress, who is married to Sony Pictures Executive and Seventh Day Adventist pastor Devon Franklin, has also dealt with intense judgment about her style of clothing on a consistent basis. In her next IG post, she was accused of being “ungodly” because she was in a jacuzzi with her baiting suit.

Meagan reportedly once said,

“I’m not any less holy because the dress I wore -I may not be who people think I should be -but I’m morphing into exactly who God wants me to be.. My excuse is never “I’m going to do me” and I don’t feel that I need to make an excuse or defend or what I wore .. I know I have a responsibility -and I’m working daily to fulfill the full potential of all God has created me to be.”
