Michael K. Williams Died Of An Accidental Drug Overdose

The death of Michael K. Williams has been ruled an accident.  

According to Williams’ autopsy, the actor ingested fentanyl-laced cocaine and heroin labeling his death an accidental drug overdose. Williams was found in his Brooklyn apartment by his nephew on September 6th. 

He was reported unresponsive during a 911 call made by the doorman. When medics arrived at the apartment, Williams was declared dead at the scene. 

Michael K. Williams was best known for his role as Omar in the 2002 HBO series The Wire and recently known for his role in the short-lived series, Lovecraft Country. He was 54-years-old
