It’s been a little over a year since we lost Pop Smoke.
A new report emerged that gives more in-depth details as to what happened the night Pop was killed. As reported on Hip Hop DX, on February 19, 2020, armed intruders busted through the second-floor balcony of his Hollywood Hills Airbnb mansion around 4:00 a.m. P.T. Pop was reportedly in the shower when the intruders came in.
There was a woman in Pop’s room, and one of the suspects held her at gunpoint while the others went to the bathroom. The detective at the hearing said the woman in Pop’s room said she heard a struggle coming from the shower. The detective said, “She heard a struggle coming from the shower area and heard Mr. Jackson [Pop Smoke] screaming. Mr. Jackson ran out of the bathroom, and then she heard a loud pop and [heard] Mr. Jackson fall to the ground. Two other individuals began to kick him.” The detective went on to say Pop managed to get up and run downstairs. The woman told authorities she heard two more gunshots and saw Pop in the ground. Then 911 was called.
The official autopsy report says Pop was shot multiple times in the torso. He passed away at the same L.A. hospital the Notorious B.I.G. died at.
Last year, five people were arrested in connection to the murder. In the latest report, four suspects are getting charged. Corey Walker, 20, was arrested for murder and robbery. The other three suspects’ identities haven’t been revealed because they’re juveniles.
