T Pain told a story about how Nicki Minaj ghosted him back in 2007.
Around this time, Nicki was dropping mixtapes, heating up the streets. According to the “Buy You A Drank” rapper, he reached out to Nicki to make music. T-Pain said she turned him down because she was working on her stuff. He claims he took the rejection as “disheartening.”

Nicki caught wind and responded in The Shade Room’s comment section. She said,
“I don’t remember this AT ALL, but it DEF sound like [something] I would say. Omg what was I thinking? He was already a really big artist. I was still underground. Chileeeeee I used to b Buggin yo I was under so much pressure to deliver.”
She went on to tell him sorry, and she let him know she has love and respect for his craft. She also thanked him for clearing a sample on her re-released mixtape, Beam Me Up, Scotty. Nicki said,
“My bad, babe, all love. I have nothing but respect for your talent. and thank you & Kanye for clearing ‘Go Hard’ for Beam Me Up Scotty last month. Listening to you over & over on that record taught me SM about harmonies & background vocals. Your vocals on that song alone are GOATED FOR LIFE. I listened to every single detail.”
