Somebody put the paws on Robert Kelly because they are fed up with the jail being placed on lockdown because of him. R. Kelly protestors march outside of the jail, screaming for his freedom, and the jail goes on lockdown every time that happens.

The singer didn’t suffer any serious injuries, the guards broke it up quickly. However, he was placed in solitary confinement Page Six reports. R Kelly’s Chicago lawyer, Steven Greenberg, said solitary confinement is the only place where his client can be protected.

Steven is more worried about his client’s safety.

“I’m still very concerned because sure this time the guards were able to quickly stop something from happening but what happens if someone goes in his cell with a shank or something like that? Or the guards are busy doing something else?”

The reason the inmates and other prisoners are annoyed with R. Kelly is that every time there’s a protest, the inmates don’t get their commissary, don’t get to take showers and other privileges.

R. Kelly goes on trial September 14 and he pled not guilty to his multiple federal sex crime charges.
