There’s no doubt that “Baby Boy” by Beyonce featuring Sean Paul is one of her biggest hits to date.
Since the release of the song in 2003, Beyonce has performed the song at all of her concerts but only one time with Sean Paul at the 2003 MTV Europe Music Awards. Paul has finally explained why that was their only performance.
In a recent interview with a Jamaican radio station, the Grammy award-winning artist stated that her then-boyfriend, now husband, Jay-z, was not comfortable with the two artists becoming close.
He admitted that Jay-Z was uncomfortable. In his patois, he stated, “Yuh si weh you seh? You neva feel comfortable. Me neva feel comfortable needa, but mi jus use my diplomacy all di while an guh roun any likkle obstacle weh me have inna life.”
Paul also said that to him, he believed that was the issue at the time.
