Summer Walker is working on herself during the pandemic.

The singer has been criticized in the past for admitting that she has social anxiety issues and she’s an introvert. Even though she’s been open and honest with her fans, some are still hard on her for not “getting over her fears.” She once said she doesn’t want to lose herself to “fit into the celebrity persona.” She even cut her tour short last year to combat her fear.

Welp, it looks like the R&B singer wants to self-improve. She wrote a message on her personal IG account and said that there are only three people in this world that understand her, and she’s thankful for them.

“there’s like all of 3 people on this earth who understand me, thank y’all for taking the time to. I’m all about self-improvement, communication, & self-knowledge. Internal work. Money & material shit don’t mean shit to me. Small talk don’t mean shit to me. BEING FAKE, don’t mean shit to me, I’ll never do it. Wish more people understood that, I’d talk to more plp.

In the past, some fans have complained after meeting Summer Walker of how “standoffish” her attitude was. Summer even said that she doesn’t want to hug her fans and asked people to “respect her space.” This is what she said about not wanting to give hugs:

“for those who’re upset b/c I don’t give hugs idk what to tell you…I’m an empath, and that transference of energy from that many people each day would literally KILL me,” Summer wrote. “y’all may not understand what I’m talking about but for example… there’s a lot of people out here faking the funk with a smile on their face like they got it together but inside your actually suffering from some sort of traumatic experience, a loss, depressed, fearful, envious or whatever the case may be BUT I CAN FEEL IT. So I ask you please respect my space in those moments.”
