Many events and shows decided to cancel or postpone this year due to COVID-19 but the MTV VMA’s is still on!

New York governor Andrew Cuomo made the announcement earlier this week after he announced Phase III would begin July 6. Cuomo said, “The Video Music Awards are going to be held Sunday, Aug. 30, at Barclays Center.”

The event will put in place an “extensive social distancing guide, meaningful capacity limitations, [and] the virtualization of components where possible,” Billboard reports. There will also be a limited or no audience.

No report yet on who will host or perform…but we’ll keep you updated!
