Jay Electronica Responds To Peter Rosenberg’s Critique Over ‘Synagogue Of Satan’ Line

Fans were excited when Jay Electronica dropped his long-awaited A Written Testimony album last week.

Peter Rosenberg took to Twitter to critique a particular line from a 2014 Jay Electronica track, “Better in Tune With the Infinite.” The lime states: 

“My feet might fail me, my heart might ail me/The synagogues of Satan might accuse or jail me.”

The Morning Show host simply stated he wasn’t feeling that bar. Peter went on to say, 

“As a Jew it puts me in a bad position. I can ignore the fact that I instantly felt a pang of discomfort and offense and basically sell out my culture or I can be accused of being the “Jewish media” hating on this man. But it’s how I felt. The line offended me.

Soon after, Peter realized that he quoted the wrong lyric, but also realized that Jay said that “synagogue of satan line” twice. The second time it was mentioned was on “Ghost of Soulja Slim.” Jay raps:

“And I bet you a Rothschild I get a bang for my dollar/The synagogue of Satan want me to hang by my collar.”

Ebro and Jay told Peter that the line is from the Bible. Peter said it’s from the New Testament.

Jay responded and said:

“Clout chasing is at an all-time high,” and that he stands on every word he said on the album.
