Karrueche Tran is dealing with an ugly legal battle with her former manager Yaqwb Muhammed also known as Jacob York.
Earlier this year, Karrueche sued Jacob for money owed from her makeup line with ColorPop and other business dealings. The model/actress claims she paid Jacob 20% commission, which was their agreement. Back in 2019, Karrueche examined her financial records and learned owed her $1.4 million because he was allegedly withholding the correct profits from her businesses.
Jacob denied any wrongdoing, is asking the court to dismiss the claims against him and is countersuing. In Jacob’s complaint, he’s disputing an oral agreement they made in 2013, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. In the document, it says that he claims he sent “a ton of money to promote and launch Karrueche’s career. He says he paid for her acting lessons and funded her “lavish lifestyle for years.”
Karrueche hasn’t publically address the situation as of yet. Hopefully, they can work everything out through the court system.
