Ferguson’s fiancée, Doni Smith, spoke out online. NY Post reports in her IG Story she said, “Never in a million years, I thought I’ll be saying RIP to you. My soul aches sooo bad baby. I know I’m dreaming baby… please watch over us! Please.” She went on to say that the Ferguson legacy will continue. Then she reposted heartfelt words from fans.

A cause of death hasn’t been revealed. Police say there were no signs of foul play or trauma and they’re not ruling out the possibility of an overdose. The family is asking for prayers and privacy during this time. Fans wrote their condolences online. One user wrote, “long live Jaylon Ferguson praying for his family.” Someone else said, “can’t stop thinking about Jaylon Ferguson’s family. My heart hurts.” The NFL said on Twitter, “We are heartbroken to hear of the tragic loss of Jaylon Ferguson. The NFL family sends our deepest condolences to his loved ones.
Baltimore drafted Ferguson in 2019. His nickname was “Sack Daddy.” CNN reports, “in 38 games with the team, 10 of which were starts, Ferguson had 67 tackles and 4.5 sacks in three seasons.”
More tragedy struck the Baltimore Ravens; news sources report former player (a “Super Bowl champ”) Tony Siragusa passed away unexpectedly today. He was 55 years old.
Brian Billick, his former coach, said, “We would not have won the Super Bowl without him. This is such stunning, sad news, and our hearts go out to Kathy and the Siragusa family.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ferguson & Siragusa family.
This is one of the saddest days in Ravens history. The deaths of Jaylen Ferguson and Tony Siragusa on the same day leaves every Ravens fan stunned. A player so young with potential, and a legend who brought so joy and impact to the field. Gone. Tough to wrap your head around.
