Beyonce doesn’t play when it comes to her sister, just ask Fabolous.
In a recent interview, the Brooklyn rapper recounts the time that Beyonce approached him about his verse about Solange.
In his song, “For The Money”, Fab raps “I never do the bronze ‘cause if you could have Beyonce, would you take Solange?” He said, “The first person I saw was B. She was like ‘let me holla at you’. “I went over there and she was telling me they rock with me- I didn’t think when I was saying it, I didn’t connect like that.”
Fab later apologized to Solange about the verse and realized that reality hit him. “It really woke me up. Up until that point, I would say anything in a rap if it was catchy. I’m thinking I’m doing it on a little mixtape level and it’s never going to reach Beyonce’s and Solange’s ears. I’m not even thinking that far away.”
