Last Night (February 24th), SOB’s was the place to be for the Hot 97 Who’s Next Showcase. The showcase which was perfectly titled, “The New MVNT”, had performances from C. Black, Simxsantana, Ron Suno, and Smoove L. and it was hosted by own very own Dj Drewski and Sha Boogie, the host of Who’s Next Leaderboard Live.
Each performer brought the energy and they had the fans rallying behind him as well. They all performed their hit singles and throughout the show, every performer made special tributes to the fallen Pop Smoke. Black had fans light up the entire SOBs in the slain Brooklyn’s honor during his set.
Our very own DJ Stacks, TT Torrez, Dj Drewski, and Megan Ryte also paid tribute to Pop Smoke by playing one of his unreleased songs called “Mercy”, to be heard for the first time for fans to hear. The song was sampled 50 Cent’s classic song “Many Men.”
