J. Cole is VERY good at keeping his personal life private.
In a letter he wrote for The Player’s Tribune called “The Audacity,” Cole revealed for the first time that he has two sons. In the 3500 word letter, he talks about his career and life.
In one part of the letter, Cole was reflecting on the year 2016 when he released 4 Your Eyez Only, he said,
“Four years have passed. In that time I’ve been blessed with two sons, learned the delicate art of balance between parenthood and career, had the pleasure of working with a ton of talented artists as a featured rapper, spent 10 magical days recording a Dreamville album in Atlanta, and put a lot of time and energy into sharpening my sword and growing as an artist.”
On Cole’s 2019 Revenge Of The Dreamers III compilation, he announced he had a second kid on the way and spoke on his son. On “Sacrifices” he said,
“She gave me the gift of my son, and plus we got one on the way.”
J. Cole also revealed he’s thinking about hanging up his jersey, but not before dropping his upcoming album, The Fall Off.
This shit was both hella challenging and mad fulfilling to write. Thank you @PlayersTribune for the platform. ❤️https://t.co/XGE47bqhGy
