New York City Reports Its First Death Of The Coronavirus

New York City has reported its first death from the coronavirus. 

An 82- year-old Brooklyn woman has succumbed to the virus. According to reports, the unidentified woman was diagnosed with emphysema and had underlying medical issues. She was hospitalized in Wyckoff Heights Medical Center since March 3rd, the New York Times reports. 

Governor Andrew Cuomo stated, “If you’re 82-years-old and you have emphysema and you get the flu, you are in a grave position.”

It has also been reported that New York City has over 500 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus.
