Noname dropped a track titled, “Song 33” which served as a response to J. Cole’s “Snow on tha Bluff,” which seemingly addresses some words she had towards him and other celebrities.

She raps on the track, “But n**** act quiet as a church mouse/In the studio when duty calls to get the verse …/It’s time to go to work, wow, look at him go/He really ’bout to write about me when the world is in smokes/There’s people in trees when George was beggin’ for his mother/ Saying he couldn’t breathe, you thought to write about me?”

Following the release of the track, Noname jumped on Twitter and let her fans know that she was not proud of herself for releasing the song. She writes, “i tried to use it as a moment to draw attention back to the issues i care about but i didn’t have to respond. my ego got the best of me. i apologize for any further distraction this caused.”

She did let it be known that she’d be keeping the song online, and that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to aid funds.
