Update: Gov. Cuomo Says He Hasn’t Heard About NYC Park Burials….

According to the NY Post, officials will begin burying Coronavirus victims in New York Cities local parks due to the rate that people are dying. Morgues and hospitals are currently struggling to house the many corpses that have fell victim to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Mayor De Blasio was asked about burials during a press briefing, and here’s what he had to say: “We may well be dealing with temporary burials, so we can deal with each family later…I’m not going into details, I don’t think it’s a great thing to be talking about.”

Councilman Mark Levine stated in a series of tweets that: “Soon we’ll start ‘temporary interment’,” he continued to say that “This likely will be done by using a NYC park for burials. Trenches will be dug for 10 caskets in a line.”

During Gov. Cuomo’s noon briefing he refers to this update as a rumor…“I have heard a lot of wild rumors but I have not heard anything about the city burying people in parks.”

Stay tuned for updates as stories on the Coronavirus outbreak develop.
