Rotimi joins his good friend TT Torrez and DJ Bobby trends and gives an exclusive tour of the studio he put together while being quarantined. Rotimi recorded an acoustic version of Love Riddim on guitar. He plans on dropping it this month and it’ll feature 6-7 songs.
Rotimi was excited when talking about this project because he created it to focus on everything he’s going through now. He opens up about his love life with Vanessa Mdee, who he’s been dating for about a year and calls her the “Rihanna” of Africa. They’re also quarantined together and have been keeping each other busy by cooking and spending quality time. Trends gets personal and talks about how much he misses his son and not being able to see him due to the coronavirus crisis.
TT asks Rotimi if people take his transition from acting to singing seriously. He says they didn’t at first but now they do with the success of Love Riddim earning 100 million streams and “In My Bed” which was released earlier this year, gaining 20 million streams.
TT opens up about her secret acting journey and that she’s been taking classes for the past two years. Rotimi also drops some acting tips and says he’s been writing his own scripts.
