Last night (May 25th), R&B group members 112 and Jagged Edge battled hit-for-hit courtesy of Verzuz.
The battle was highly anticipated, yet, fans were not too happy with the audio issues. Aside from that, the viewers showed up and jammed to some legendary R&B music, but Jagged Edge did become the face of a few jokes following the battle.
This isn’t the first time a Verzuz battle experienced major technique issues. Babyface vs Teddy Riley had fans on edge when Teddy just couldn’t get his sound right and while Ludacris was fully ready, the rain and the spirit of Teddy Riley was not on Nelly’s side, as the lagging of the audio was distracting as well.
Nonetheless, Jagged Edge and 112 are both undeniably the best of the best in R&B, but social media will be social media, and joke all day. Take a look at some reactions below.

Swizz and Timbaland jumped on Instagram live to talk the battle that went down. Swizz shared that new Verzuz rules are coming. “We’re going to make that a forcible rule,” Swizz said, “You cannot do Verzuz unless you use the technology that we’re sending you, cause we’re sending it to you for a reason.”
