Beyoncè has a gift for fans and it’s here at the perfect time.

The Queen Bey’s The Lion King Inspired visual celebrates blackness. This project arriving amid the black lives matter movement makes it ideal and even more powerful.

Beyoncè and her team have been working on it for about a year. Reported on Metro, it’s a visual album based on songs from Bey’s The Lion King: The Gift. Beyoncè played the role of Nala in the reboot of The Lion King last year.

In Black Is King, Beyonce reimagines the lessons of The Lion King for today’s young kings and queens in search of their own crowns.” Disney Plus reports,

“The voyages of Black families, throughout time, are honored in a tale about a young king’s transcendent journey through betrayal, love, and self-identity. His ancestors help guide him toward his destiny, and with his father’s teachings and guidance from his childhood love, he earns the virtues needed to reclaim his home and throne.”

Songs set to be featured in the film, include “Brown Skin Girl”, “Mood 4 Eva” and “My Power.”

The move comes after Beyoncè signed a $100 million deal with Disney Plus to work on three films. Beyoncè will be on the soundtrack for Black Panther 2, dey to be released in 2021. More negotiations are being ironed out.
