Today (Feb. 9), 50 Cent called out the Grammys for not having proper subtitles for Bad Bunny’s performance and award acceptance speech.
“The Grammys need to be [checked] about this. F**king @badbunnypr [is] bigger than everybody right now and you can’t pay for closed caption? [What the f**k] is ‘Speaking non-english.’ [Raising eyebrows emoji] FIX IT ! #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” the rapper wrote on Instagram.
In a follow-up post, 50 Cent added, “[Eye balls emoji] [What the f**k] [is] going on here? [Raising eyebrows emoji]. I DON’T WANT TO HEAR S**T. FIX IT! #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”
On Sunday (Feb. 6), Bad Bunny opened the 2023 Grammys with a party-starting performance of his singles “El Apagon” and “Después de la Playa.” During the performance, he was surrounded by dozens of dancers and led a marching band down the center of Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. He had stars like Jack Harlow and Taylor Swift out their seats that night.
The Puerto Rican rapper released his fourth solo studio album, Un Vernano Sin Ti , in May of 2022. This 23-track project features Chencho Corleone, Jhayco, Tony Size, Raw Alejandro, Bomba Estéreo, The Marías, Buscabulla, and Tainy. It debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, marking Bad Bunny’s second No. 1 album and the second all-Spanish language album to top the chart. It spent 13 weeks at the top of the chart and became the first Spanish-language album to receive a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. Bad Bunny also received a Best Música Urbana Album nomination, which he won, and the record’s second single, “Moscow Mule,” was nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance.
