Up and coming New York City rapper C Blu is out on bail.

The 16-year-old, whose real name is Camrin Williams, allegedly used his record deal advance money to make his $250,000 bail and was released on Thursday.

The NYPD’s union president expressed his outrage over the news of Blu’s bail.

“If anybody wants to know why we have a crisis of violence in the city, or why we’re about to bury two hero police officers, look no further than this disgraceful bail release,” NYC PBA President Pat Lynch said.

Lynch went on to blame Judge Denis Boyle, who also released another 16-year-old who would end up killing a 34-year-old father of two.

“Shame on Judge Denis Boyle for allowing this to happen. The people of The Bronx won’t be safe as long as he’s on the bench.”

Lucian Chalfan, the spokesman for the state office of court administration stated that the judge shouldn’t be the blame for following the law.

Blu’s attorney, Dawn Florio also spoke on the next steps for the rapper. “Camrin has been released and will be back to his regular productive life of focusing on schoolwork and his music career.”

We previously reported that C-Blu was arrested after shooting officer Kaseem Pennant. Blu was armed with an illegal firearm during the time of the arrest.
