After weeks of investigations, the Sweden government has officially decided to charge A$AP Rocky with assault over a fight that occured with two men on the street.

Stockholm prosecutor Daniel Suneson released a statement to announce the decision.

“I have today commenced criminal proceedings against the three individuals suspected of assault causing actual bodily harm, having come to the conclusion that the events in question constitute a crime and despite claims of self-defence and provocation,” he said.

Rocky posted a video on his Instagram page July 2 highlighting alleged harassment from two men who kept following the rapper and his crew. A video posted on TMZ showed another angle of the confrontation.

Suneson continued stating he had more materials that was currently available online.

“I have studied the videos made available to the inquiry. It is worth noting that I have had access to a greater amount of material than that which has previously been available on the internet,” he said. “In addition to video material, the injured party’s statements have been supported by witness statements.”

President Donald Trump with the help of Kim Kardashian (yes, that is a real statement), has been in discussions with the Sweden government to try and help A$AP Rocky get back to the states.

The trial is expected to begin in Stockholm district court on July 30.
