Keyshia Cole and NBA player Daniel Gibson still had unfinished business to take care of.
The singer and basketball player married in 2011 and Keyshia filed for divorce in 2017 for irreconcilable differences, The Blast reports. When they appeared on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood together, there were rumors of infidelities that led to the breakup.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Keyshia and Daniel finally reached a settlement. The agreement will cover the division of their marital property, custody, and support. Keyshia requested joint legal custody of their 10-year-old son Daniel Gibson Jr.
It took three years to finalize everything because Daniel was reportedly “dragging” the process. At one point, the judge was so fed up that the case kept getting delayed and warned of a “FOURTH AND FINAL NOTICE” or else hit with a fine, according to the document.
A few weeks ago fans came to that conclusion that Keyshia and her boyfriend Niko Hale broke up after Keyshia wrote a cryptic message.
She posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “ever get so comfortable in pain that you forget happiness is still an option! #IssaWord Shout out to EVERYONE tryna heal from things UNSPOKEN! They HEEEEEEYS WERE EPIC.”
She also cleaned out her Instagram and he did the same, but they didn’t make any public statements. They welcomed their son in August last year.
Keyshia is gearing up to release new music so it looks like she’ll be staying busy with that.
