Amazon Announces Two New Locations for its Headquarters

Amazon has made the decision to expand and split its headquarters into two locations. Long Island City, Queens, and Arlington, Virginia will be the new home of the headquarters. With this expansion, Amazon says that they will hire 25,000 new employees for each location.

Amazon is also working on opening a third location called “Operations of Excellence”, that will be stationed in Nashville, Tennessee. This location will include over 5000 jobs. With the opening of all three locations is projected to earn the company $2.2 billion.

The Long Island City location is slated to receive $1.5 Billion in tax incentive while the Arlington location is slated to receive $573 million in tax incentive. The hiring process for both locations is set to start in 2019.
